How do you store your jewelry? I store mine in the linen closet. The fabulous Nester did a post about this awhile back, and asked folks to chime in on how they store their jewelry. Being relevant and all it only took me 4 or 5 months to address the topic…. Better late than never.
My family tells me that I am like a bird – attracted to sparkles and shiny objects. I cannot disagree. I only have a few pieces of “good” jewelry and I wear those every day. Why have them if you’re not going to use them? On the contrary, I have loads and loads of costume jewelry – too much really, but I digress. I used to try to keep my sparkles in my regular jewelry box. But I quickly outgrew that space. There was also the problem of things getting tangled up or sets becoming separated. So I decided to make use of the inside of our tiny little Master Bathroom linen closet. I attached sticky backed hooks to the inside of the door, hung the jewelry from the hooks and there were tangles no more.
When the jewelry hangs up where you can see it, it is so much easier to find what you are looking for. Another benefit is not forgetting about certain pieces that may make their way to the back of your accessory rotation.
I hoping to be able to use this same method to store my costume jewelry at our new home. But these pictures below have the wheels-a-turnin’. I love how they’ve incorporated their jewelry storage as art – so pretty.
How do you store your jewelry? Do you have a unique way to store it, like art, without it looking all cluttered. I’d love to hear about that.
