Cookie Baking Party

These sweet girlies wanted me to share their cookie baking extravaganza with you.

They mixed, and baked, and mixed and baked, then mixed and baked some more.  They worked like little bees in the hive – about 6 hours on Saturday night, then another 9 hours on Sunday.  I admire their fortitude.

Their most favorite ‘creations’ were miniature (bite sized) peanut butter blossom cookies.  You know how you usually roll them into 1″ balls.  Well they rolled them into tiny balls, then instead of using a Hershey kiss to press into the middle of the warm cookie they used jumbo chocolate chips.  I thought it was a great idea!  So stinkin’ cute too!

See how little they are.

The girls came up with the cookie FEST on their own.  They wanted to put together little gift boxes for their teachers.  I thought it was so sweet.  They picked out the recipes, did all of their shopping, and (most) of their clean-up too.  They ended up packaging them up in little holiday themed Chinese food boxes.   Cute, cute, cute!

Here’s the list of all the different treats they made:

Peanut Butter Bon Bons

Oreo Truffles

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Snicker-doodles

Peanut Butter Blossoms

Sugar Cookies

Gingersnaps

Fudge

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Mmm, good!

I’ll have recipes posted for the Peanut Butter Bon Bons & Gingersnaps.
