The 2010 Southern Living Georgia Idea House: Part Four

Okay, we’ve finally made it to the the lower level :)   The lower level consists of a rec room, a bathroom, the garage, and the outside gardens.

Look at these adorable painted stairs.  These stairs lead from the the main living level down to the lower level.

Love the colors...

...and the striped detail

There is also a small rec room on the lower level with some great details.

Unique lighting and a handmade coffee table too

Nifty over-sized grommets at the top

Amazing barn-style sliding doors

Super durable brick floors

Cute stenciled basket

These baskets were so cute in person

I liked the vessel sink in this bathroom.

I hope you can see the wood grain detail on this shower tile.

Believe it or not, this was one of my favorite details of the entire house.  These under stair storage drawers were a perfect way to use what is usually wasted space.  Love, love, love it!

Who couldn't use more storage?

Now, on to the outside living spaces.

I can just imagine curling up with a good book here.

I hope to one day have one of these.  Reading, napping, swinging in the shade.  Oh my Goodness!!!!!

A swinging bed, what could be better?

This seating area looks so inviting

Great potting bench

Lovely tri-color caladiums

Beautiful pops of green

Notice how the potted plants in the garden tie in with the potted plants from the porch.  So pretty!

Wonderful potted plants from the porch

Last, but not least, I loved this old fashioned style gate closure.  I remember seeing something like this in Colonial Williamsburg.

Old time gate closure

As you can see there was SO much eye candy at this year’s Southern Living Georgian Idea House.  If you have an opportunity you should really go see it in person.  My pictures certainly do not do it justice.
